The customs broker is responsible for the physical and documentary management of import and export operations, collaborating with customs agents, clients, and authorities to guarantee a swift, secure, and legally compliant logistics flow. **Main Responsibilities** * Revalidation of shipping guides and control of shipping documents. * Physical verification of goods described in the invoice, taking photographic evidence and recording individual identification data. * Preparation of files. * Tracking the customs clearance process from receipt to release. * Attending customs inspections, pre-inspections, and assessments according to established procedures. * Coordinating with the customer service department, providing updates on shipment status. * Controlling and safeguarding physical and digital documentation for import and export files. * Assisting in the collection and delivery of shipping guides, coordination of departures, and transportation logistics. **Additional Activities** * Supervising cargo shipment and release at customs. * Collaborating with the classification, claims, and operations team to ensure consistency between documentation and goods. * Conducting verifications and reporting incidents during clearance processes. * Maintaining constant communication with customs agents, clients, warehouses, and carriers. **Required Knowledge** * Import and export customs clearance processes. * Customs Law and General Foreign Trade Rules. * Operational knowledge of assessments, pre-inspections, and customs inspections. * Processing shipping guides and cargo documentation. * Basic knowledge of contribution calculations and tariff classification (desirable). * Inventory control, goods receipt and dispatch. **Competencies and Skills** * Proactivity and willingness for field operational work. * Organization and attention to detail in documentation and goods handling. * Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines. * Effective communication with different departments and customs authorities. * Responsibility, commitment, and professional ethics. * Skill in detecting and reporting inconsistencies during verification processes. **Requirements** * Minimum education: Completed high school or Technical degree in Customs Procedures. * Experience: At least 6 months in warehouse, receiving, inventory, or customs clearance activities. * Desired experience in assessments, pre-inspections, goods inspections, and guide collection. **We Offer:** * $11,500 TO $12,000.00 GROSS MONTHLY * LEGAL AND ABOVE-LEGAL BENEFITS **Desired Education Level:** Upper Secondary **Desired Experience Level:** Entry Level **Departmental Function:** Logistics / Transportation **Industry:** Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Warehousing **Skills:** * cargo inspection * pre-inspections * guide collection *This job posting comes from the Talenteca.com job board:* *https://www.talenteca.com/anuncio?j_id=690b8ef42a00003d000176a5&source=indeed*
