If so, we want to meet you!** **At Palladium Hotel Group, we are seeking to fill the position of Animation Assistant for Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort \& Spa.** We offer a professional development as passionate as you are **Job Mission:** Support the department head in the general programming of activities to meet the needs and desires for fun and recreation of our guests, utilizing the human and material resources available within the department. **Your main responsibilities will be:** * Assist the dance team in both theaters. * Support the department head in the overall activity programming. * Assign tasks to your staff. * Handle guest or employee complaints and suggestions. * Attract guest attention daily through the activity program. * Increase the number of guests requesting our services. * Provide training to new employees. * Train, teach, and energize recreational physical games and activities for staff. * Coordinate activities among department members. * Announce throughout the day via sound systems the various scheduled activities. * Evaluate subordinate staff performance. * Ensure guests are entertained at all times in animation areas (theater, pools, sports courts, and discos). * Maintain an organized list of contracts. * Organize, execute, and control cultural animation activities. * Organize, execute, and control evening entertainment and show activities. * Perform checklists for missing or needed items. * Conduct various recreational activities (zumba, water pool, etc). * Prepare the daily activity schedule. * Conduct interviews with prospective hires. * Produce shows and performances. * Schedule breaks and work shifts. * Develop animation activity projects. * Conduct site visits to ensure assigned staff are performing their duties. * Request and purchase work equipment. * Plan, coordinate, and conduct special events (themed days). * Report to immediate supervisor when sound equipment is not functioning properly. * Monitor attendance of assigned personnel. * Review contract expiration dates. * Supervise theater activities. * Supervise sports activities with animators. * Substitute for the animation manager when absent. * Ensure the work area remains consistently clean and organized. * Verify that sound equipment is functioning correctly. * Ensure maximum utilization of material resources. * Verify cleanliness in the work area and office. * Confirm that sports activities in pools are being conducted. * Check for pending tasks in the work area. **Requirements:** --------------- **Experience and technical knowledge:** * Technical degree in physical and sports activity animation. * Higher technical degree in tourism animation. * Technical degree in tourism animator. * Advanced English. * 3 to 4 years of experience as an animation supervisor. * Knowledge of recreational programs, sports activities, animation techniques, and group dynamics. * First aid knowledge. * Team management.
