Prepare ingredients for cooking, e.g., portioning food, chopping, and storing prior to use. Safely and properly use tools, equipment, and appliances for measuring and baking to prepare baked goods. Follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures. Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report any issues to management. Wash and disinfect the kitchen area; set up and assign workstations, and follow and comply with hygiene and cleaning procedures. Monitor food quality and portion sizes served throughout the work shift. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; complete all required safety trainings and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company property. Communicate with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Navigate sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Reach above shoulder height and below knee level, including bending, twisting, turning, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
