




Job Summary: Lathe operator responsible for setting up, machining, inspecting quality, and maintaining lathes to manufacture unique or mass-produced parts with high precision. Key Highlights: 1. Performs machining, roughing, and final finishing operations on parts. 2. Ensures quality and specified tolerances using measuring instruments. 3. Operates conventional and CNC lathes with high precision and attention to detail. Main Responsibilities **Setup:** Reads technical drawings and diagrams to determine required tools and working methods. Loads and unloads material onto the lathe. **Machining:** Performs operations such as turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, and cutting. Roughs and applies final finishing to the part. **Quality Inspection:** Verifies dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, ensuring compliance with specified tolerances. **Maintenance:** Performs basic preventive and corrective maintenance on the lathe and its tools. **Production:** Can manufacture unique parts, small batches, or mass-produced items depending on the work environment. **Technical Skills:** Operation of machines (conventional and CNC lathes), reading of technical drawings, and knowledge of measuring and cutting tools. **Attention to Detail:** Must possess high precision and meticulous attention to detail to work within tight tolerances.
