Cost analysis and resolution of customs incidents **Purchasing and Import Assistant** **Job Description:** We are seeking a Purchasing and Import Assistant responsible for coordinating international procurement processes and ensuring proper import flow, in compliance with customs regulations while optimizing logistics costs and timelines. **Main Responsibilities:** * Coordinate import processes from purchase order placement through final delivery * Verify foreign trade documentation (invoices, customs declarations, certificates, bills of lading, etc.) * Classify products according to tariff classifications * Track shipments and transit times * Coordinate with customs brokers and freight carriers * Negotiate with international suppliers (costs, timelines, and terms) * Analyze import costs (tariffs, taxes, freight) * Resolve customs and logistics incidents * Generate tracking and efficiency reports **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related field * 2–5 years of experience in import operations * Experience working with customs brokers and international purchasing * Knowledge of the Customs Law, TIGIE, INCOTERMS, and USMCA * Intermediate English (basic reading and negotiation skills) **Skills:** * Organization and attention to detail * Negotiation * Analysis and problem-solving * Effective communication * Ability to work under pressure Salary: $15,000.00 per month Language: * English (Desirable) Work Location: On-site employment
