BPC MRP Response Planner Scope: Mexico The BPC MRP Response Planner is responsible for ensuring short- and long-term material availability as well as execution stability, integrating Material Requirements Planning (MRP) with operational response. This role acts as a key integrator between supply planning, plant operations, and suppliers, ensuring that the production plan has the right materials at the right time. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- ### **1\. Material Planning and Availability** * Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support short-, medium-, and long-term production plans * Execute and monitor MRP runs, material coverage, and procurement plans * Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, excesses, and any impact on operational continuity ### **2\. Short-Term Operational Response** * Serve as the first point of contact for material-related issues affecting production or dispatch * Coordinate rapid resolution of supply disruptions, minimizing impacts on service levels * Align priorities in real-time under constraints ### **3\. Cross-Functional Coordination** * Collaborate with: + Supply Planning (MPS / L2 planners) + Procurement and suppliers + Plant / production scheduling + Response Planners and execution teams ### **4\. Inventory and Cost Management** * Manage **material inventory levels (RM/PM)** to avoid both shortages and excess * Monitor and act upon **key material metrics (service, inventory, waste)** ### **5\. Risk and Exception Management** * Proactively identify: + Supply constraints + Supplier or capacity risks + BOM or master data issues * Lead mitigation plans and escalation for critical gaps ### **6\. System and Data Governance** * Ensure quality of: + MRP parameters + BOMs and master data + Lead times and planning configurations * Use tools (SAP, Rapid Response, etc.) to make data-driven decisions and control execution **Key KPIs** -------------- * Material availability (production service level) * OTIF impact due to material constraints * Inventory (RM/PM coverage, capital) * Waste / obsolescence * Plan adherence (production vs. available materials) **Skills and Competencies** ----------------------------- * Solid understanding of MRP and supply planning * Ability to operate in high-pressure, short-term execution environments * Analytical mindset and data-driven decision making * Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration * Problem solving and rapid-response mindset **Required Experience** ------------------------- * Experience in supply planning, material planning, or MRP * Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Rapid Response or similar) * Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes Unilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
