Job Summary: We are seeking a Traffic Assistant with experience in cargo clearance, handling of customs declarations (pedimentos), and knowledge of foreign trade laws to perform data entry, generation, validation, and payment of customs declarations. Knowledge of foreign trade laws EDUCATION: Completed high school (including incomplete) AGE: 22 TO 40 YEARS OLD EXPERIENCE: 1 YEAR in activities related to cargo clearance. WORK SCHEDULE Mon-Fri 9 AM–6 PM and Sat OBJECTIVE Data entry of pro forma customs declarations, generation of COVES and Electronic Documents (ED), validation and payment of customs declarations. KNOWLEDGE * PC and Internet proficiency. * Foreign Trade Laws. * Preparation of customs declarations (customs declaration codes). * Familiarity with software for completing customs declarations. SKILLS * Analytical and organized * Ability to work under pressure * Responsible RESPONSIBILITIES * Review files submitted by Traffic Executives, cross-check information against documents, and clarify discrepancies if any. * Enter pro forma customs declarations accurately and on time; verify shipping guides, weight, packages, and warehouse "CR", then submit to Customs Valuation (Glosa) for review. * Generate E-documents and verify their upload to the customs declaration, as well as the required COVES. * Receive observations or modifications from Customs Valuation (Glosa) personnel and make corrections as necessary. * etc. Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $10,500.00 per month Benefits: * Option for indefinite-term contract Work Location: On-site employment
