**Position Purpose** Oversee hotel engineering and maintenance operations to ensure guest and employee safety and comfort, and to guarantee compliance with all brand standards and government regulatory requirements. May be responsible for loss prevention functions. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Participate in developing departmental financial plans and annual operating budgets. * Monitor budget and control expenses, focusing on energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning. * Lead hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. * Manage daily staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and set performance and development goals for team members. * Provide coaching, training, and regular feedback to help resolve conflicts and improve team member performance. * Educate and train all team members on compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations. * Ensure staff have proper training, tools, and equipment to perform their duties. * Maintain a safe environment for guests and team members in accordance with policies and standard procedures. * Maintain relationships with external contacts including guests, regulatory agencies, and others as necessary. * Understand and respond to customer needs and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. * Implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure facilities are well maintained and operational for our guests. * Maintain and order spare parts and supplies timely and effectively, while minimizing waste and supporting environmental initiatives. * May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risks of theft, crime, and other hazards. * Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as shift manager. **Skills:** * Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and infrastructure. * Preventive and corrective maintenance expertise. * Experience leading work teams. * Proficient in handling and managing maintenance tools and equipment. **Requirements:** * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. * Experience in general maintenance, preferably in hospitality companies.
