Apply for our opening as: LNG Lead Operator **OBJECTIVE:** The primary function of the Lead Operator is to operate the LNG Terminal facilities using a computerized control system (DCS) and following technical, safety, and environmental procedures and standards in accordance with the Company's business plan. The Lead Operator reports to the Operations Supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Operate the Distributed Control System (DCS) via a control panel to run terminal facilities; also to view, enter, edit, and distribute related operational information. * Manage alarms, interlocks, and bypasses of process variables according to ECA procedures. * Monitor and control operational parameters of equipment, open and/or close valves as established by operational procedures (SOPs) to maintain assigned operations within operating standards. * Supervise operating parameters of processes and auxiliary service infrastructure operations such as electric generators, air compressors, nitrogen injection facilities, and fire water systems. * Identify and execute activities specific to the different operating modes of the terminal facilities. * Maximize the performance and reliability of the LNG Terminal by complying with policies, operational procedures, and technical and operational standards. * Participate in liquefied natural gas transfer operations, as well as in implementing continuous process improvement. * Perform routine operations on LNG Terminal equipment such as inspection, startup, and shutdown for maintenance during their shift. * Report equipment malfunctions, valve issues, and unusual trends or conditions in the operational log to the supervisor. * Recommend preventive maintenance or repairs for process and auxiliary equipment. * Develop operational procedures, work instructions, and historical reports on process and equipment operational variables. * Conduct document reviews and participate in organizational activities such as internal audits and CMSH (joint safety and hygiene committee) walkthroughs. * Carry out all work in accordance with applicable safety procedures, using appropriate safety devices and equipment. * Actively participate in the development and compliance of Hygiene, Safety, Protection, and Environment (HSPA) policies and procedures focused on zero safety incidents and protection, and on environmental protection. * Identify potential environmental risk scenarios arising from their activities, assess the likelihood of each scenario occurring, prevent environmental damage, and provide suggestions accordingly to contribute to the continuous improvement process of the IMS. * Evaluate operational information to determine compliance with regulations and use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with environmental laws and regulations. * Based on experience, the position holder may occasionally perform the duties of Operations Supervisor in the latter’s absence. * As a member of the Terminal’s Emergency Response Team, participate in preventive and responsive actions during extraordinary situations, in accordance with established procedures and in compliance with current labor regulations. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Minimum of ten years of experience in operations in the Oil & Gas sector, or seven years in regasification terminals, cryogenic plants, or natural gas liquefaction plants, with at least three years as a control room operator. * Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) operation, preferably Delta-V. * Experience in industrial process control. * Knowledge of operation or maintenance of distributed control systems. * Analysis and interpretation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) processes. * Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) to apply them in plant operations, development of operational procedures, and during maintenance execution. * Skill in preparing operational and process reports. * Ability to work using operational procedures, handle critical documentation, and participate in root cause analysis. **Apply now** and become part of the great team at **Sempra Infrastructure**!
