Description and detail of the activities **Main Functions:** Ensure that necessary supplies for production and general company operations are not lacking, and that they are purchased according to applicable specifications and under the best conditions for the company * Receive purchase requisitions for materials needed throughout the plant * Process purchase orders for suppliers and provide follow-up * Ensure that requesters receive their materials/parts on time and as required * Review that purchase requisitions meet established requirements and approvals, obtaining relevant authorizations depending on the amount * Manage purchase orders, modify dates, quantities, or cancel them as needed * Provide all required information to the Accounting department * Deliver supplies to requesters and production representatives * Seek the best options and variety of suppliers * Ensure that materials arrive on time and in the correct quantities, with appropriate scheduling to meet internal customer needs through proper follow-up * Request credits or replacements from suppliers for defective or incorrect materials, managing necessary procedures for returning items to the supplier or sending them to scrap * Negotiate prices and purchasing terms with suppliers to benefit the company * Review and analyze inventory excesses and/or obsolete stock * Keep files and databases related to the purchasing area up to date * Request certificates of origin, conformity certificates, technical sheets, safety data sheets, and any other documents related to purchased materials * Work together with Engineering when requesting samples of materials * Collaborate with the Traffic Department regarding material import/return and import documentation review * Work closely with warehouse personnel and stay informed about material handling **Position located in Mexicali, Baja California** Experience and Requirements * Completed Bachelor's degree or Engineering program * Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience * Experience in MRO purchasing (Required) * Advanced English * Skills * Negotiation * Organization * Teamwork * Advanced to intermediate Excel * Oracle system experience preferred * Goal-oriented * Service-oriented attitude Benefits * Benefits according to Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT) * Savings fund * Credit union * On-site medical services **Number of openings** 1 **Area** Purchasing **Contract** Temporary **Work Mode** On-site **Shift** Day **Workload** Full-time **Schedule*** Monday to Friday **Education Level** Professional degree **English** Spoken: Advanced, Written: Advanced **Travel Availability** No
