The port engineer’s responsibility is to spearhead the turnarounds, the repairs of the ships, the cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouses and organizations, and to work with the Captains and the Engineers to keep the ships running well. **Job Requirements** · Good understanding of marine engineering. That includes engines, gearboxes, pumps, welding, painting, pipe fitting. Knowledge of carpentry is nice but not a requirement for this position. · Drivers license · Integrity is always a must. Always without question. · Good communication. Spanish is expected. English is a bonus but not required. · Using email isn’t essential, but the ability to use WhatsApp is required. **Duties** · Prepare and execute on the maintenance and repair of each of the larger liveaboard boats on their turnarounds.
