




Cost Analyst in Construction Department: Technical Area / Project Management / Cost Estimation and Budgeting Position Profile The Cost Analyst is responsible for planning, preparing, monitoring, and updating construction budgets, ensuring that costs align with the company's economic goals. Conducts unit price analyses, quotations, comparative studies, and financial tracking of ongoing projects, providing key information for decision-making. Main Responsibilities * Prepare detailed construction budgets (including materials, labor, machinery, and equipment) based on drawings, item catalogs, and technical specifications. * Perform unit price analyses (UPAs) based on actual and standard productivity rates. * Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to obtain updated and competitive prices. * Prepare item catalogs, work generators, and quantity matrices. * Monitor and control actual costs versus budgeted costs, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions. * Collaborate with procurement and site teams for financial planning of each project. * Participate in tenders, competitions, or economic proposals by compiling all required technical and financial information. * Update databases of prices, productivity rates, and historical analyses to improve the accuracy of future budgets. * Assist in preparing financial progress reports, cash flow projections, and project profitability analyses. Profile Requirements * Education: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or related field. * Work Experience: * Minimum 2 to 3 years in cost analysis, budgeting, and construction control. * Experience in construction or development companies is desirable. * Technical Knowledge: * Proficiency in unit price analysis and budgeting. * Familiarity with construction standards, regulations, and catalogs (e.g., CONSTRUCTO, Neodata, Opus, or similar). * Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings. * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial formulas, macros desirable). * Cost estimation software (Neodata, Opus, etc.). * Soft Skills: * Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. * Analytical ability and logical thinking. * Organizational and efficient time management skills. * Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. * Clear and effective communication.
