Position Objective Ensure the physical safety of workers as well as the protection of facilities, assets of plants and offices through compliance with Mexican regulations regarding environmental, health, and occupational safety standards. Develop and manage compliance with the safety plan applicable to the assigned project and/or plant (WWTPs). 2\. Ensure compliance with safety requirements for site access as determined by the client. 3\. Carry out method statements and risk assessments for activities when applicable. 4\. Conduct area inductions for new personnel. 5\. Train new personnel on environmental, health, and occupational safety matters, and issue relevant certificates based on evaluations performed. 6\. Regularly deliver safety and hygiene talks. 7\. Supervise compliance with safety requirements within the project. 8\. Generate and issue work permits. 9\. Respond to emergencies (workplace fights, fires, explosions, chemical leaks or spills, first responder actions, and first aid). 11\. Ensure order and cleanliness at the worksite and WWTPs. 12\. Maintain IMSS enrollment records for both company and subcontracted personnel. 13\. Coordinate the joint safety and hygiene committee. 14\. Coordinate internal civil protection programs. 15\. Design safety, environmental, and health campaigns. 16\. Design and coordinate drills. 17\. Handle government inspection visits (STPS and IMSS) and local authorities (Civil Protection). 18\. Implement and follow up on STPS regulations. 19\. Submit weekly Safety and Environmental reports. 20\. Ensure analysis and follow-up of workplace incidents and accidents, as well as implementation of preventive actions to avoid recurrence in company workplaces. 21\. Ensure asset security, reporting theft cases when applicable. 22\. Design, manage, and update compliance with procedures, forms, regulations, and policies. 23\. Perform and control inventories of PPE, uniforms, and safety supplies. 24\. Report and monitor safety indicators. 25\. Ensure compliance with internal audits conducted by the client. 26\. Perform administrative tasks within the department when required. 27\. Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 standards and other applicable requirements. 28\. Provide feedback to the client on HSE performance results. Performance Metrics 1\. Reduction in unsafe conditions and unsafe acts Requirements Educational Level Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Graduated). Work Experience 3 years of experience as a safety and hygiene coordinator (mandatory). Experience in high-risk activities (confined spaces, working at heights, excavations, lifting operations, LOTO, cutting and welding), preferably holding DC\-5 registration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, as well as knowledge of first aid and/or paramedic training.
