**Job Description: 2D Drafter (Roads and Railways – AutoCAD)** **Location: CDMX** The 2D Drafter will be responsible for creating and updating technical drawings for road and railway infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, document organization, and compliance with technical standards. The candidate must master AutoCAD in its different versions and properly manage external references (Xrefs) to maintain efficient and coordinated drawing structures. **Main Responsibilities** * Creation, editing, and updating of 2D drawings for roads, highways, platforms, earthworks, and railway structures. * Generation of plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details. * Advanced proficiency in **AutoCAD across multiple versions**, ensuring file compatibility. * Proper configuration and management of **external references (Xrefs)**, ensuring correct paths, layers, and linkage with other disciplines. * Organization, classification, and control of drawings according to internal and client standards. * Support in preparing deliverables for basic and detailed engineering. * Review of drawings to identify inconsistencies and coordinate corrections with responsible engineers. * Application of current regulations for road and railway projects (SCT, FIDEs, applicable manuals). * Control of layers, text styles, blocks, scales, and layouts for printing. * Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to technical instructions. **Job Requirements** * Technical or professional degree in Drafting, Surveying, Construction, or related field. * Proven experience as a 2D drafter in road, highway, or railway projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD (multiple versions) and advanced Xref management. * Knowledge of infrastructure standards (SCT or equivalent). * Ability to interpret civil and structural drawings. * Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in documentation. * Availability to work onsite in **CDMX**. **Desired Competencies** * File organization and management. * Teamwork with project engineers. * Clear communication and ability to follow instructions. * Ability to work under established deadlines.
