Manage the sale of recyclable materials and negotiate with buyers. **INFAGON is seeking a Shavings Department Head in Iztapalapa, Mexico City** ---------------------------------------------------------------- A printing-sector company seeks a Shavings Department Head, responsible for the comprehensive management of recyclable materials generated during production—primarily paper. This position aims to ensure efficiency in waste separation, control, storage, and disposal; lead the department’s operational team; and maximize revenue through recyclable material sales. Main Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and develop the shavings department’s workforce, ensuring achievement of operational and financial objectives. Plan, organize, and optimize daily activities for proper recyclable materials management. Implement and improve waste (paper, cardboard, and others) separation, classification, and handling processes. Ensure order, cleanliness, and safe conditions in the area under responsibility. Coordinate compacting, storage, and commercialization of recyclable materials. Manage the sale of recyclable materials, serving as direct responsible for generated revenue and goal attainment. Negotiate with buyers/suppliers to secure better commercial terms. Establish controls, records, and reports on recycled volumes and revenue, generating performance indicators. Identify opportunities to maximize recyclable material value and improve department profitability. Coordinate internal logistics for efficient material flow from production to the shavings department. Supervise compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in economics or administration (Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field). Experience in recyclable materials handling, warehouse operations, or waste management. Proven experience in personnel supervision or team leadership. Experience in revenue control, negotiation, and/or sales (preferably in recyclables). Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. Results-oriented, focused on profitability and KPI achievement. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Flexible availability for work hours.
