




Job Summary: Supports the Latin America Indirect Tax Center of Excellence by preparing and filing VAT returns, resolving information requests, and providing tax support. Key Highlights: 1. Tax support for information technology projects. **What you’ll do:** ------------------- **What you’ll do:** Summary Join and support the Latin America (excluding Brazil) Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (CoE) — covering all Spanish-speaking countries — and report to the Indirect Tax CoE Supervisor. Prepare, analyze, file, reconcile, and archive VAT returns and VAT refund applications along with all related working papers; execute VAT advisory and compliance processes; generate periodic direct tax reports; provide tax support for information technology projects. The VAT COE supports Eaton businesses in optimally and regionally compliant preparation, review, and filing of VAT returns and VAT refund applications across the Spanish-speaking Latin America region, covering 15 countries. **Responsibilities:** Detailed responsibilities include: * Collaborate with operational finance teams to gather financial information required to prepare VAT returns associated with operations. * Collect data and analyze monthly ERP VAT reports (AR, AP, GL); collect documentation (import declarations, invoices, other purchases, and sales documentation) to substantiate favorable VAT balances. * Analyze VAT reports, import declarations, journal entries, and perform reconciliations. * Prepare and file VAT returns, VAT refund applications, and additional indirect tax informational filings such as DIOT. * Support resolution of additional information requests arising from VAT refund application processes issued by the Tax Authority. * Assist in electronic archiving of all VAT documents and other indirect tax filings. * Prepare periodic reports for the direct tax team, used for forecasting and/or annual tax return preparation. * Provide indirect tax support upon request from colleagues, interdepartmental requests, operations, etc. **Qualifications:** ------------------- * Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a candidate currently completing the degree or awaiting official certification. * 1–2 years of experience with Mexican VAT. Experience with VAT refunds * **Technical Knowledge** * Conversational English * Advanced Excel * SAP / Oracle experience is desirable.
