Senior Data Science Specialist – Applied AI for Operations and Logistics **Work Mode:** 100% remote At **PS Grupo Hunting**, we are looking for a **Senior Data Science Specialist** to join a strategic project focused on developing advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions applied to operations, logistics, and wholesale distribution. We seek a highly practical profile with proven experience in real production implementations, capable of tackling complex business problems using advanced models, optimization techniques, and high-impact solutions. This position requires solid technical insight, results orientation, and the ability to deliver tangible business value within a short timeframe. Job Objective Design and implement advanced analytics and applied AI solutions aimed at optimizing operational, logistical, and commercial processes—directly impacting efficiency, cost management, and decision-making in real business environments. The candidate is expected to operate autonomously and deliver measurable value within a maximum timeframe of **1 to 2 months**. Key Responsibilities * Develop advanced demand forecasting models in complex operational contexts. * Implement applied mathematical optimization solutions, including routing, distribution, planning, and resource allocation. * Design business-oriented AI applications beyond traditional use cases—such as end-to-end optimization and automated decision-making. * Participate in the full solution lifecycle: design, development, deployment, and production monitoring. * Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources, including sales, logistics, operations, and customers. * Translate analytical findings into actionable decisions with direct business impact. * Collaborate closely with business teams to solve real—not theoretical—problems. Mandatory Technical Requirements * Advanced Python, including Pandas and NumPy. * Proven experience in applied Machine Learning in production environments. * Proficiency in Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or LightGBM. * Experience in mathematical optimization / operations research using OR-Tools, Pyomo, PuLP, or similar tools. * Advanced SQL. * Experience deploying solutions in the cloud, especially on GCP: BigQuery, Vertex AI, etc. What We Truly Seek for This Role * Demonstrable experience in logistics, operations, or distribution projects. * Prior work on solutions that have transitioned to production and delivered measurable impact. * Strong focus on practical execution—not just design or exploratory analysis. * Experience solving complex and ambiguous business problems. * Ability to connect models to real-world decisions—not just basic or academic use cases. * Clear communication skills when interacting with non-technical teams.
