Location: **Arteaga** Req ID: **27937** **Overview** The Robotics and Automation Engineering Manager leads the robotic and controls engineering team responsible for hardware designing, software development, and integrating automated systems for the industrial. This role involves strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and technical oversight to ensure high\-quality robotic and controls solutions that meet operational goals and safety standards. Always following the company protocols, work ethic and meet the expectations of the executive management. **Responsibilities** * Lead and manage the robotic and controls team, providing guidance and performance reviews. * Plan, coordinate, and develop robotic and controls projects from concept through commissioning and production support. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams providing all the robotic and controls technical assistance needed for the success of the projects. * Manage projects budgets, resources, timelines, and risk mitigations within robotic/controls department. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new technologies for our products and solutions. * Daily Review of the projects status to understand the critical path. Then drive the solutions to issues. * Proper distribution of workload \- capacity planning hours within the department. * Manage and direct the daily activities of the robotic and controls departments. Including Robotic, electric, electronic, power, pneumatic, hydraulic and safety interlocks of the systems. * Review and follow customer’s architect specifications for hardware and software development. * Participate in design review meetings with project managers and customers. From processes development through final solution. * Record and document of releases of engineering and changes log. * Keep Autodesk Vault project folder updated with all to date documentation. * Assure department/projects deliverables (Hardware and software) as\-built. * Digital robotic simulations (OLP’s), Matrix robots definition, and Safety zones. * For new awards, participate to internal and customer kick\-off meetings. * Attend twice a week to the Production meetings – Drive the critical path and issues. * Support and follow Company’s EHS corporate guidelines. * Purchase Requisitions and Invoice approvals – Robotic/controls related. * Responsible for fulfilling all administrative requirements for hiring, firing, discipline, merit recognition and technical development of all direct reports. * Provide constant feedback to Operations Manager relative to project issues. * Responsible for determining training requirements for reporters. * Must maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with all Fori personnel and actively participate in problem solving with other departments as it relates to company objectives Job Requirements * Minimum of 5 years in leadership / supervisory role in similar industry. * Minimum of 15 years working experience in automation/integration at the industry. * Strong knowledge in welding, material handling, assembly and End of line testing automated systems. * Expertise in robotics and controls hardware / software design (Desire Rockwell \& Siemens) * Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including traceability systems integration. * Knowledge of servo drives systems configuration. * Knowledge of vision systems and quality inspection of welding processes. * Interpersonal, team communication, analysis, and problem\-solving skills. * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
