Safety and Hygiene Supervisor

EMMI is seeking your talent as a SAFETY AND HYGIENE SUPERVISOR to participate in an electrical installation project. Location: Celaya, Guanajuato Position Objective Supervise and ensure the proper implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System during the execution of the project's electrical installations, guaranteeing compliance with STPS regulations, client requirements, and EMMI’s internal standards, with the aim of preventing accidents, protecting personnel, and ensuring the safe continuity of the work. Responsibilities * Implement and monitor the Occupational Safety and Health Program (PSST) in accordance with NOM-031-STPS-2011. * Supervise safe working conditions for activities including: Electrical work, work at height, handling and lifting operations, use of electrical tools and equipment, or any other high-risk activity. * Verify correct use of PPE and compliance with site signage. * Coordinate risk assessments (ATS / APR / ATC) prior to critical activities. * Train personnel on safety topics, inductions, and safety talks. * Maintain documentary control of safety records and respond to audits conducted by the organization, the client, and/or regulatory authorities. * Implement and monitor the Project Safety Plan in accordance with ISO 45001. * Prepare safety reports, photographic evidence, and progress records. * Coordinate with site supervision, quality control, and electrical contractors. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Civil, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields. * 4–7 years of experience in a safety supervisor role. * Demonstrable experience in electrical installations for public infrastructure, transportation systems, stations, substations, or similar projects. * Experience conducting inspections, audits, monitoring, and performance evaluations. * Occupational safety management system (ISO 45001:2018). * Knowledge of quality standards (ISO), STPS regulations, and international regulations. * Knowledge of applicable electrical regulations: NOM-001-SEDE (Electrical Installations) and NOM-029-STPS (Maintenance of Electrical Installations – Safety). * Applicable industrial safety regulations: NOM-031-STPS (Occupational Safety and Health System in Construction), NOM-027-STPS (Hot Work), NOM-024-STPS (Vibrations), NOM-033-STPS (Confined Spaces), NOM-036-1-STPS (Ergonomic Risks), NOM-017-STPS (Assignment and Determination of PPE), NOM-011-STPS (Occupational Noise), NOM-009-STPS (Work at Height), NOM-004-STPS (Machinery Protection), NOM-002-STPS (Fire Suppression Systems). * Applicable electrical regulations: NOM-001-SEDE (Electrical Installations) and NOM-029-STPS (Maintenance of Electrical Installations – Safety). * Preferred: Prior participation in projects involving electrical installations, electromechanical construction, or similar scopes. * Risk analysis methodologies for processes and activities: HAZOP, FMEA, 4x4 Matrix, IPER Matrix.
