John Crane is part of Smiths Group (www.smiths.com), a global leader in applying advanced technologies in threat and contraband detection, energy, medical devices, communications, and engineering components. **Job Description** The Sales Engineer's role is to promote the various ranges of John Crane products, as well as provide solutions to all types of mechanical sealing engineering problems, establishing partnerships with customers to improve process and equipment reliability, aiming to meet quality, service, and customer commitments, while supporting the company's growth and profitability. * Develop, manage, and execute a sales plan aligned with the defined business strategy and aimed at achieving the established sales budget. * Generate and secure new business, achieving optimal sales conditions (price, contribution margin, and delivery time). * Visit clients at offices, production plants, and other facilities. * Handle national and international public tenders. * Focus on building trust-based relationships with customers (especially key decision-makers) that create added value, combined with high-level proposal presentations, positioning John Crane products within the market. * Properly develop and present high-level technical and commercial proposals to our customers by quoting products included in the John Crane portfolio, aiming to represent the best purchasing option. * Prepare the order checklist indicating, in internal John Crane terms, what needs to be supplied and/or enter the sales order into the SAP system. * In case the part number for the item to be supplied is not available, generate an I\-projects request so Engineering can provide the required part number and/or parent code. * Deliver materials once ready. * Submit invoices for review and payment. * Repair/install mechanical seals in the field when required. * Comply with and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. * Perform other job-related duties as required. * Develop, manage, and execute a sales plan aligned with the defined business strategy and aimed at achieving the established sales budget. * Generate and secure new business, achieving optimal sales conditions (price, contribution margin, and delivery time). * Visit clients at offices, production plants, and other facilities. * Handle national and international public tenders. * Focus on building trust-based relationships with customers (especially key decision-makers) that create added value, combined with high-level proposal presentations, positioning John Crane products within the market. * Properly develop and present high-level technical and commercial proposals to our customers by quoting products included in the John Crane portfolio, aiming to represent the best purchasing option. * Prepare the order checklist indicating, in internal John Crane terms, what needs to be supplied and/or enter the sales order into the SAP system. * In case the part number for the item to be supplied is not available, generate an I\-projects request so Engineering can provide the required part number and/or parent code. * Deliver materials once ready. * Submit invoices for review and payment. * Repair mechanical seals in the field when required. * Comply with and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. **Requirements** * **Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.** * 4\-5 years of experience in sales processes for products similar to John Crane (oil industry, energy, or private industry). * Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, marketing, and sales processes. * Client negotiation skills. * Basic manufacturing processes and production planning. * Proficiency with tools necessary to perform tasks, assembly procedures, writing failure analysis reports, tracking performance indicators (MTBF). * Market knowledge: understanding customer characteristics regarding purchasing processes, decision-making, and procurement policies. * Commercial negotiation techniques, application of marketing policies. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Knowledge of concepts related to ISO 9001 standards, identification of non-conformities, and continuous improvement actions. * Leadership: high level of influence. * **Language: English at intermediate/advanced level.** * **Availability to visit clients 60% of the time in the areas of Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Guanajuato.** * Willingness to travel to other geographical areas by air. **Additional Information Diversity and Inclusion** We believe that diverse perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company thrive.
