**Position: Production Manager – Welding \& Assembly** **Location:** Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato A Tier 1 automotive manufacturing company specialized in metal parts production is looking for a **Production Manager** to lead the Welding \& Assembly area with strong operational leadership, advanced knowledge of welding processes, robots, and manufacturing standards. **Key Requirements** * **Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (mandatory)** * **8 years of production experience in the automotive industry** * Minimum 5 years in managerial or senior leadership roles * Experience in plants with 500\+ employees and foreign corporate structure * Knowledge of MIG, MAG, resistance welding, arc and spot welding, and critical assembly processes * Experience working with **Fanuc** and **Panasonic** robots * Solid knowledge of **TPS**, **Core Tools**, **APQP** * Methodologies: **Lean Manufacturing**, **Kaizen**, **TPM**, **SMED**, **5S** * Quality systems: **ISO 9000**, **IATF 16949**, **PPAP**, **CTPAT**, **OEA**, **ISO 14001**, **NOM 035** * Scrap, rework and downtime control; productivity indicators such as **UPH (Units Per Hour)** and **OEE** * Experience with ERP systems (**Plex** preferred) and manufacturing modules * Advanced MS Office; **Power BI** intermediate/desirable * Advanced English (able to handle technical and managerial meetings) **Key Responsibilities** * Lead welding and assembly operations in automated and manual lines * Ensure production volume, quality standards and delivery plans are met according to manufacturing programs * Supervise a team of Assistant Managers, direct staff and unionized operators * Monitor and control key KPIs: **UPH**, **OEE**, scrap, downtime and rework * Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives (**Lean**, **Kaizen**, **TPM**, **SMED**, **5S**) * Ensure compliance with all legal, safety and environmental standards * Oversee and support required certifications and audits (**ISO**, **IATF**, **CTPAT**, **OEA**, **ISO 14001**, **NOM 035**) * Plan and manage the area’s annual budget * Coordinate technical requirements and act as liaison with internal/external clients
