We're addressing the global challenges of ending plastic waste, taking climate action, and supporting a thriving society, while generating value for our customers, investors, and society. **Job Summary** -------------------------- Carry out production orders assigned by the Production Supervisor, taking appropriate measures to ensure compliance with required safety and quality standards for operations and timely fulfillment of production orders using materials within the requested specifications. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Take over from the outgoing operator, gathering information on potential anomalies both verbally and via logbooks. * Receive instructions from the Shift Production Supervisor to maintain continuity of the production process. * Substitute for any production operator (regardless of work area) across the plant. * Coordinate machine startup and shutdown with the Shift Supervisor. * Perform process controls during the shift. * Monitor data collection, both from the production line and additive batch preparation. * Collaborate with shift personnel to prepare equipment or facility releases for repairs, coordinate maintenance interventions, and verify the status of equipment. * Inspect and control quality of finished batches, reporting findings to the Shift Supervisor—including identification of products meeting specifications and materials failing to meet required specifications. * Prepare blends and dose raw materials into production lines. * Supply loads, minerals, additives, and raw materials; recover unused packaging, dust, and blends. * Prepare product loading and unloading (including cleaning during material changeovers). * Maintain a clean work area and optimal safety conditions, actively participating in continuous improvement processes. * Complete necessary documentation for raw material control and manage replenishment in case of shortages, overseeing loading and unloading activities. * Monitor and participate in continuous improvement of Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental performance, including staff training. * Operate forklifts and lifting equipment, as applicable. * Safeguard quality metrics by identifying, reporting, and removing any non-compliant products. * Verify full operational functionality of area equipment. * Report scrap material and current status. * Report raw material usage for accurate consumption tracking in SAP system. **Authority:** * Enforce safety, health, and environmental standards and product requirements at all times. **General** * Safety rules and regulations. * Asset security (cash, inventory, facilities, materials, confidential information, intellectual property, IT systems, communication services, and reputation). * Legal and regulatory requirements. * Integrated management system. * Generate records that are accurate and complete. * Assertive communication with interrelated departments and areas. **Requirements** ------------------ **Education** * High school diploma or technical degree preferred. **Work Experience** * Minimum 2 years of experience in the petrochemical industry. **Other Skills** --------------------- * Building effective teams. * Collaboration. * Fostering innovation. * Customer orientation. * Demonstrating courage. * Working rotating shifts. * Forklift operation. * Knowledge of extrusion processes (preferred). **Competencies** ---------------- Build Partnerships Drive Innovation Grow Capabilities Promote Inclusion Motivational Fit Technical Skills Deliver Results Privacy Statement: For information regarding how LyondellBasell processes your personal data, please read our Privacy Statement **Stay Connected!** * Visit our LYB Website * Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram * Like us on Facebook * Subscribe to our YouTube channel
