**VACANCY: OPTICAL FIBER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**
A leading telecommunications company is seeking an **OPTICAL FIBER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on optical fiber infrastructure, ensuring the quality, continuity, and availability of telecommunications services for customers.

Location: Tampico, Tamaulipas
Age: 18 to 45 years
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on optical fiber networks (FTTH/FTTx)
* Detect and repair network faults, fiber cuts, connectivity issues, and signal problems
* Perform fiber splicing, connectorization, and continuity and attenuation testing
* Install, maintain, and calibrate optical fiber test equipment (OTDR, power meters, etc.)
* Review and maintain maintenance records and technical reports
* Coordinate with technical support, NOC, and installation teams to resolve incidents
* Comply with industrial safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good condition
**Requirements**
* Minimum education: High school diploma or technical degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields
* Experience in optical fiber installation and maintenance (preferred)
* Knowledge of structured cabling, splicing, and optical fiber testing
* Availability for fieldwork
* Physical capability and ability to work at heights (where applicable)
