Description

Job Summary: Inspect and classify containers entering and exiting the yard, prepare damage reports, and determine their final location based on their condition. Key Responsibilities: 1. Container inspection and classification 2. Preparation of damage reports 3. Determination of container location * Inspect containers entering and exiting the yard according to IICL criteria and/or criteria provided by shipping agents. * Inspect containers in accordance with criteria established by the shipping line and container inspection work instructions, both upon entry and exit from the operations yard. * Prepare EIRs (Equipment Interchange Receipts) documenting damages identified on the container according to established criteria and classify the container accordingly. * Determine the container's final location based on its classification (repair area, damaged container stacking area, operational container stacking area per class, container rejection, etc.). * Label the container according to the above-mentioned point. * Take photographs of the container, damages, or conditions in accordance with established work instructions. * Prepare on-gate damage estimates by completing required fields and documents and making annotations on the container as per work instructions. * Inspect and classify containers in the workshop area.
