Job Summary: Execute work orders for electrical maintenance of fixed equipment in underground mining, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to the weekly schedule. Key Highlights: 1. We invite you to learn more about us, our operations, and our exciting plans for the future.**Requirements:*** Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electromechanical Engineering, or Technical Electrical qualification, or related field. * 3 years of field experience in electrical maintenance within mining environments. * Knowledge of reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams. * Application of diagnostics to electrical equipment using specialized tools. * Fieldwork skills specific to underground mining. * Proficiency in Office 365. **Responsibilities:****Maintenance Plan Execution:** * Reads and understands the information contained in the Work Order received from the Supervisor. * Clarifies with the Supervisor any unclear points in the Work Order. * Collects from the warehouse resources specified in the Work Order—including supplies, spare parts, and tools—and confirms they are ready for use. * Confirms with the Supervisor that the equipment is available to perform the Work Order. * Safely carries out the electrical maintenance tasks specified in the Work Order, following standard operating procedures. Reports to the Supervisor any anomalies requiring immediate attention. * The Electrical Engineer or Electrician shall: * Install and maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical networks as required by the Maintenance Program and the mining process. * Ensure safe and reliable electrical power supply at the mining face or wherever required during the mining cycle. * Perform maintenance on electrical equipment such as electric motors, motor control centers (MCCs), electric starters, electrical outlets, transformers, switches, power lines, variable frequency drives (VFDs), etc. * Effectively diagnose faults related to electrical systems, power networks, and electrical equipment. * Review electrical equipment data logs to identify improvements and predict failures in the mine’s electrical network. * Verifies that no supplies, tools, or rags have been left inside the equipment. * Records maintenance data in the Work Order. * Notifies the Supervisor of any issues with the equipment or area. * Informs the Supervisor upon task completion and requests assignment of a new task. * Follows environmental procedures when disposing of hazardous waste such as oil, lubricants, rags, etc. * Provides real-time information via appropriate workplace technology, as specified throughout the shift. * Performs unplanned tasks as needed. * Cleans the work area upon task completion. Returns remaining supplies, spare parts, and tools to the warehouse. **At the end of the shift:** * Completes and submits the shift report to the Supervisor. * Reports damages, faults, or any anomalies to the Supervisor. **Other Duties:** * Adheres to all safety and hygiene rules. * Follows environmental procedures. * Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required for underground work and specific tasks. * Always applies the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedure for equipment. * Reports to the Supervisor any issues with equipment or the work area. * Maintains a clean work area. * Follows all operational procedures and permits applicable to this role and specific tasks. * Participates in cleanup campaigns as required. ***NOTE: Torex Gold Resources and its subsidiaries do not accept resumes from recruitment agencies not under an active contract and not designated as authorized partners for recruitment activities.***
