Supplier negotiation and purchase order tracking A national construction company executing construction projects across multiple sites seeks: **CONSTRUCTION PURCHASER** **Purpose of the Position:** Manage timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services for construction projects, ensuring supply alignment with execution schedules, authorized costs, and technical specifications—thereby supporting cost control and operational continuity across multiple project sites. **Job Offer:** * **Monthly Salary:** $24,000 * **Benefits:** Statutory * **Working Hours:** * Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. * Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. * **Location:** Iguala, Guerrero * **Work Mode:** On-site (field–office, as operation requires) * **Employment Type:** Full-time or fixed-term (project-based), depending on the project * **Reports To:** Construction Procurement Manager / Coordinator **Essential Requirements:** **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Administration, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. **Experience:** * Minimum 3 years’ verifiable experience in construction procurement or the construction sector. * Experience in local and international procurement. * Knowledge of construction materials, supplies, and services. * Willingness to travel regularly between sites. **Technical Skills:** * Intermediate-level Excel proficiency. * Preparation and tracking of purchase orders. * Quotation comparison and cost analysis. * Purchase documentation and invoicing control. **Key Responsibilities:** * Receive, review, and analyze purchase requisitions from various construction sites. * Request, compare, and evaluate quotations from local and regional suppliers. * Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms. * Prepare and track purchase orders. * Coordinate material deliveries in accordance with construction schedules. * Monitor critical and urgent purchases closely. * Verify compliance with requested technical specifications. * Coordinate with superintendents and site managers regarding adjustments to quantities, dates, or priorities. * Control purchasing-related invoicing and documentation. * Maintain an updated supplier registry by region. * Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers to optimize costs and timelines. * Report cost deviations, delivery delays, or supply failures. * Support procurement planning aligned with construction schedules. * Track warranties, returns, and supplier clarifications. * Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies.
