For more information, visit www.cimmyt.org This consultancy will be located at CIMMYT's headquarters in El Batán, Texcoco, Mexico, 45 minutes from Mexico City. **Main responsibilities:** * Monitor and protect real and personal property, as well as individuals within the Station. * Verify compliance with institutional security conditions. * Register entries and exits of employees, suppliers, and visitors, maintaining access control. * Conduct random vehicle inspections of staff and systematic inspections of supplier vehicles. * Perform continuous patrols in all areas, ensuring staff well-being and facility integrity. * Provide support to individuals within the Station according to established security protocols. * Report any unusual situations promptly to immediate supervisor and/or manager. * Verify that firefighting equipment is in place and in optimal condition. * Inspect doors and windows to ensure they are properly closed and secure. * Provide general information to staff upon request. * Support emergency brigades during working hours and act as a brigade member outside those hours. * Answer telephone calls and provide information during non-working hours. * Carry out other activities assigned by the immediate supervisor related to the area. **Requirements** ® Minimum high school education level. ® Minimum one year of experience in a similar position. ® Basic knowledge of civil protection: first aid, evacuation, rescue, and emergency response. ® Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays according to service needs. ® English language proficiency (desirable). ® Key competencies: ® Critical thinking ® Effective communication ® Teamwork ® Customer orientation ® Problem solving ® Decision making **Benefits** CIMMYT offers an attractive compensation package and support for professional development.
