Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating and controlling foreign trade, import, and export operations, ensuring legal compliance and optimization of benefits. Key Highlights: 1. Lead and coordinate import and export operations. 2. Ensure legal compliance and certifications (NEEC, CTPAT). 3. Manage logistics, shipments, and customs clearance. * **RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:** * This department is responsible for the legal and proper importation of raw materials, machinery, and equipment, including the use of permits for raw materials, machinery, tools, and equipment. * Coordinate and evaluate the performance of freight carriers crossing the border between the U.S. and Mexico, and Mexico and the U.S. * Coordinate and direct the VDO team to maximize benefits under the NEEC program and maintain certification, as well as track corrective actions following audits. * Coordinate and direct the VDO team to maximize benefits under the CTPAT classification. * Comply with the Security Policy. * Ensure shipment of finished goods (FG) and returns according to system inventory balances.  GENERAL DESCRIPTION: * This department is responsible for coordinating and controlling foreign trade imports, including imports of raw materials, machinery, tools, and equipment from abroad required for the operation of this company, as well as exports of finished products resulting from the maquiladora manufacturing process. * Responsible for the Shipping Department. * ACTIVITIES: * Supervises and coordinates the Shipping Department. + Processes shipments of finished products and returns to the U.S. + Maintains the Oracle system with delivery processing. + Tracks logistics and transportation requirements regarding trailer load density, following established loading rules and protocols. + Ensures timely dispatch of export shipments labeled “Network” per scheduled timeframes. + Prioritizes expedited orders, ATS, and SO as top-priority shipments. + Ensures finished products are loaded according to East & West specifications. + Identifies potential security risks and tracks corresponding corrective actions within its area. + Coordinates and administers vacations and payroll for subordinates. + Ensures multiskilled employees are available to cover various shipping positions. * Preparation of import invoices. * Active participation in the Matamoros Maquiladora Association. * Customs clearance for imported and exported goods (Mexican and U.S. Customs). * Coordination of transportation required for foreign trade operations. * Registration of import and export pedimentos in the CUMPLE system. * Review and control of equipment requiring repairs or permanent/temporary imports. * Review invoices from Foreign Trade Service Providers (freight carriers and customs brokers) and confirm services received for supplier payment. * Control of Certificates of Origin for raw materials, machinery, and equipment. * Preparation of annual Foreign Trade reports, as well as other Foreign Trade reports required by INEGI. * Tracking of Virtual Operations and control thereof. * Maintenance and updating of the Foreign Trade System. * Analysis and maintenance of Eighth Rules. * Tracking container status for raw materials originating from China. * Ensures scrap material disposal is properly reflected in import inventory systems. * Active participation in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives. * Support for the company’s quality system by preparing necessary procedures to ensure proper functioning of departments under its responsibility. * Develop and implement work instructions for each function under its supervision. * Track QPS assignments. * Perform other activities or responsibilities assigned. * **TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:** * Knowledge of: Foreign trade legislation, logistics, shipping, and customs clearance in both Mexico and the United States. * Strong communication skills with official agencies (Customs and Ministry of Economy). * Knowledge of customs requirements in both Mexico and the United States. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Analytical ability and decision-making skills. * Planning, execution, and project tracking abilities. * Leadership. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. * Fully bilingual. * **EDUCATION REQUIRED:** * Professional degree — Bachelor’s in International Trade, Business Administration, or related field. * **WORK EXPERIENCE:** * Six years of experience in a similar position. **Shift** First Shift (Mexico)
