Position Purpose: Respond to end-user phone calls for work orders and follow up on them by capturing them. Develop and execute a strategic plan to provide support and continuously improve knowledge, skills and the learning environment within a mid-sized, high-mix multinational engineering and manufacturing organization. Key Responsibilities:* Capture work orders by providing users with helpdesk service to address their issues via phone or email, and then route these requests to department technicians and provide solutions. * Handle work orders of certain urgency through remote connections or by phone (orders that are easy to resolve). * Keep inventory information updated by immediately recording information about equipment arriving at the department. * Assist department systems technicians with assigned tasks. * Generate telephone reports based on call evaluator data and distribute them to managers of each department. * Develop small programs based on department needs. * Follow up on legal requirements listed in the FMI-122 Compliance Checklist.
