Process Engineer – Lean Manufacturing

Job Summary: Design, analyze, and optimize production processes by implementing Lean Manufacturing tools to improve efficiency and quality in the food industry. Key Highlights: 1. Lead continuous improvement projects in a food industry company 2. Implement Lean methodologies and train operational staff 3. Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality and food safety **Job Objective** Design, analyze, and optimize production processes by implementing Lean Manufacturing tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, increase productivity, and ensure quality in operations within a food industry company. **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze current production processes and identify improvement opportunities. * Implement Lean methodologies such as: * 5S * Kaizen * SMED * VSM * TPM * Lead continuous improvement projects focused on: * Reduction of yield loss * Increase of OEE * Optimization of cycle times * Standardize processes and develop work instructions. * Coordinate Kaizen events and improvement workshops. * Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs). * Collaborate with departments including: * Production * Quality * Maintenance * Logistics * Implement Lean culture on-site. * Train operational staff on Lean tools. * Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP). **Education** * Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (degree preferred) **Experience** * 3–5 years in: * Process Engineering * Continuous Improvement * Lean Manufacturing * Experience in the **food industry (highly desirable)** * Experience in high-volume production plants **Technical Knowledge** * Lean Manufacturing (mandatory) * Six Sigma (desirable, Green Belt or higher) * Process analysis and time & motion studies * Efficiency metrics (OEE, productivity, scrap, yield) * Proficiency in statistical tools * Food quality and safety regulations * ERP system proficiency (SAP preferred) * Intermediate\-Advanced Excel **Key Competencies** * Analytical thinking * Results-oriented mindset * Leadership without authority * Teamwork * Effective communication * Change management * Proactivity Application Question(s): * How many years of experience do you have applying Lean Manufacturing on-site? * Have you worked in the food or pharmaceutical industry? * Which Lean tools have you directly implemented? * What Lean or Six Sigma certifications do you hold?
