The role involves working with traditional Tandem technologies (COBOL, C, Java, Pathway, Webgate), as well as modern integration, automation, and documentation practices. ✅ **Responsibilities** **Analysis and Design** * Analyze existing processes, programs, and routines on **Tandem** (COBOL, C, or Java) to assess their feasibility for exposure as web services. * Design new **SOAP** and/or **REST** interfaces and services, selecting native Tandem frameworks and components (Pathway, Webgate, among others). **Service Development and Exposure** * Build reliable and efficient web services leveraging Tandem platform tools and capabilities. * Implement structures, contracts, and mappings between databases and internal structures to ensure consistency in exposed services. **Testing and Validation** * Generate and maintain **unit, functional, and regression tests** for all published components. * Validate service **performance** and ensure compliance with business-defined **SLAs**. **Continuous Integration and Automation** * Participate in **CI/CD** processes compatible with Tandem, including: + Guardian scripts + TACL + Configuration and maintenance of specific pipelines **Technical Documentation** * Document architecture, workflows, dependencies, and integration diagrams. * Document **service contracts (WSDL, XSD, Swagger/OpenAPI)** and maintain end-to-end traceability. * Keep the **service inventory, versions, and associated dependencies** up to date. **Standards, Security, and Compliance** * Follow official corporate architectural and security guidelines for Tandem development. * Participate in resolving production incidents related to developed services or programs. * Complete mandatory organizational training courses on time. **Culture and Collaboration** * Promote a collaborative and continuously improving work environment within the engineering team. ✅ **Technical Requirements (suggested to complement the profile)** *(Not provided by you, but useful if you wish to complete the profile.
