




Job Summary: Participate in trapping and diagnostic activities for the epidemiological surveillance of the fly *Cochliomyia hominivorax*, contributing to the prevention of its spread and eradication strategies. Contribute to the control and eradication of the fly *C. hominivorax* **JOB DESCRIPTION:** Participate in trapping and diagnostic activities for the fly *Cochliomyia hominivorax*, with the purpose of contributing to epidemiological surveillance, preventing its spread, and supporting eradication or containment strategies in affected or at-risk areas. **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** 1. Possess a Higher Secondary Education Certificate or knowledge of agricultural sciences 2. Experience: One year of work experience **FUNCTIONS** 1. Assist in assembling traps for detection and control of the fly *C. hominivorax*. 2. Conduct field exploration to identify strategic zones for trap installation, ensuring that routes identified by Zone Coordinators are viable. 3. Install traps to support detection and control activities for the fly *C. hominivorax*. 4. Perform trap inspection and monitoring for detection and control of the fly *C. hominivorax*. 5. Assist in trap maintenance to ensure proper functioning. 6. Collect fly specimens captured during trapping so that diagnostic technicians can analyze them to determine the presence or absence of the fly *C. hominivorax*. 7. Complete cattle screwworm (GBG) risk assessment forms to generate standardized information and support decision-making regarding surveillance, detection, and pest control activities. 8. Enter information related to trap installation and inspection into the SARTec application to ensure proper recording and follow-up of activities. **COMPETENCIES** 1. Problem solving 2. Teamwork 3.
