




Position Summary: We are seeking a Protection Testing Engineer with experience in power electrical systems to perform relay testing, configuration, and validation of integrated systems. High-quality engineering and integrated systems validation. ***Requirements:*** Focus Area \= Protection Testing Engineer * Power system protection testing; testing of protection relays from various manufacturers such as SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB, etc., as well as knowledge of their applications. * Configuration, modification, and testing of protection settings, as well as knowledge of Boolean and graphical programming. * Knowledge of protection schemes for distribution and transmission, including feeders, circuit breakers, transformers, reactors, capacitors, busbars, transmission lines, etc. * Acceptable knowledge of substation arrangements, switching procedures, and understanding of logical and physical interlocks for circuit breakers and disconnect switches. * Acceptable knowledge of ANSI codes for electrical protection. * Basic knowledge of industrial protocols (IEC\-61850, DNP 3\.0, Modbus), Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and SCADA systems. 1\. Test applications, databases, HMIs, SCADA, UTRs, control panels, and integrated systems, as well as protection schemes such as feeders, transformers, medium-voltage lines, Control‑Restorer 651R, and independent equipment tests (protection relays and meters), to meet customer requirements while adhering to delivery schedules and agreed budgets. Conduct operational and functional tests on PCyM panels, SICLES, SISCOPROM, UTRs, and control panels involving integrated systems, to deliver products of the highest quality and in compliance with international standards. Use operating system platforms, communication protocols, SCADA system software, and HMI applications employed in Integrated Systems and Control Panels to execute and develop comprehensive product testing. Verify, correct, and modify databases, HMIs, communication device configurations, protection relays, and other IEDs used in Integrated Systems and Control Panels to fulfill the functionality required by the customer. Validate engineering, databases, settings, HMI applications, and variable monitoring lists in integrated systems, and perform corresponding modifications when necessary, to ensure proper execution of functional tests on panels, integrated systems, and control panels. Define finished product standards for inspection during functional testing processes, for approval and/or rejection of panels, integrated systems, and control panels prior to shipment. Provide on-site testing support for functional integrated systems or control panels with primary equipment and control subareas (CENACE), as well as on-site design of HMI applications and engineering databases. Address administrative matters focused on improving factory automation testing procedures to ensure correct operation of systems and/or control panels on site and increase testing effectiveness. Audit finished products based on quality standards to verify compliance with product quality requirements before release. Other assigned activities. **Desirable Requirements** * Advanced knowledge of automation and system integration for power system supervision. * Experience in design, operation, maintenance, and testing of Electrical Substation Integrated Systems. * Advanced knowledge and experience with IEC communication protocols. * Knowledge of computer equipment maintenance and configuration. * Experience in FAT testing and customer acceptance testing (CFE, LAPEM, etc.). * Analytical ability, technical judgment, and skills for execution and decision-making. * Leadership skills to technically lead people and projects. * Networking knowledge. * Knowledge of HMI platforms, Survalent and Subnet. * Ability to conduct protection testing on schemes such as feeders, capacitor banks, and transformers. * Experience integrating equipment from different manufacturers (SEL, ABB, Siemens, GE, etc.). * Experience delivering training courses on control and automation topics in integrated systems. * Ability to conduct protection testing on transmission line schemes. * Ability to program HMI applications and databases. * Design of UTR diagrams and communication sections. ***Physical Requirements*** None
