Responsible for activities related to the receipt, storage, dispatch, and proper inventory control of goods stored at Branches, ensuring service delivery in compliance with quality and safety standards.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO:**
\*\* Activities may vary by branch; the items listed below are not limiting and are subject to each site's specific needs.
* Ensure inventory control and proper handling of materials stored in warehouses.
* Ensure implementation of FIFO (First In, First Out).
* Provide support to corporate departments such as HR, EHS, IT, Maintenance, etc.
* Manage distribution efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers.
* Document and deliver documents to receiving and shipping operators (digitize evidence).
* Plan materials jointly with Planning, Supply Plant, and Commercial teams.
* Ensure efficient and appropriate use of assigned resource(s).
* Report any unsafe act or condition occurring or arising at the branch.
* Work according to the organization’s strategic priorities: Innovate, Grow, Optimize.
* Estimate and verify operating expenses (local petty cash control).
* Follow up on maintenance of machinery and equipment under your responsibility.
* Ensure service quality and address complaints.
* Manage payments for services and supplies.
* Conduct cyclic, monthly (location-based), and annual inventory counts, as well as fixed asset inventories.
* Comply with established requirements per organizational documents generated internally, and adhere to applicable site-level management system requirements.
* Act safely and ethically in all activities performed both within and outside any Univar facility, complying with the organization’s safety policy.
* Approve or reject material based on Quality department specifications.
* Reassign tasks to warehouse personnel.
* Schedule and monitor delivery routes to ensure high-quality service.
* Make decisions to halt unsafe actions or activities.
**WHAT YOU WILL NEED:**
* Education Level: Bachelor’s degree
* Experience: Shipping, warehousing, and logistics (3 years); Inventory management (3 years)
* Travel Availability: Yes, occasionally, if applicable
* FIFO experience
* SAP experience
* Experience managing unionized personnel
* Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
* Expense control experience
* Handling of hazardous chemicals
* Knowledge of safety regulations
* Warehouse machinery and equipment operation
