Responsible for geometric control and construction progress A national construction company specializing in the execution of construction projects seeks: **CONSTRUCTION SURVEYOR** **Position Purpose:** Perform surveying, layout, leveling, and geometric control on construction sites, ensuring that construction projects are executed in accordance with drawings, technical specifications, and company-established quality standards, thereby contributing to proper project advancement and site control. **Employment Offer:** **Monthly Salary:** $20,000 net **Benefits:** Statutory **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday (according to site operations) **Location:** Nogales, Sonora **Reports To:** Site Resident and Construction Manager **Essential Requirements:** **Education:** Surveying Technician or Engineer, Geomatics Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related degree. **Experience:** * Minimum 2 years of verifiable construction surveying experience (mandatory). * Experience in infrastructure, housing, urban development, or building projects (preferred). * Consistent fieldwork under variable conditions. * Immediate availability to join the assigned site. **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * Operation of total stations, GPS, and automatic levels. * Interpretation of drawings and technical specifications. * Geometric control and on-site layout. * Preparation of survey drawings, sketches, and reports. * Calculation of surface areas, volumes, cuts, and fills. * Use of surveying software (preferred: Civil 3D, Trimble, Topcon). **Main Responsibilities:** * Conduct initial and control surveys during construction execution. * Perform layout, alignments, and leveling per approved drawings. * Verify elevations, distances, and measurements in the field. * Monitor site geometry, detect deviations, and propose timely corrections. * Operate total stations, GPS, and measurement equipment correctly. * Prepare drawings, sketches, records, and survey reports. * Survey surfaces, volumes, and profiles for construction estimates. * Record and safeguard survey data in physical and digital formats. * Support the site resident in interpreting drawings and specifications. * Inspect and maintain control points and benchmark levels. * Monitor progress and dimensions according to the executed project. * Coordinate activities with work crews and contractors. * Immediately report layout errors and required adjustments. * Prepare daily and weekly survey activity reports. * Participate in re-surveys and reviews for estimates and payments. * Maintain survey equipment calibrated, properly cared for, and secured. * Assist in preparing site technical logs. * Comply with safety and hygiene standards in the field. * Attend technical and production meetings when required. * Perform additional duties inherent to the position as assigned by management.
