




Job Summary: Develop and validate 2D leather and synthetic material pattern designs, optimize material usage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key Highlights: 1. Collaboration with design, engineering, and costing teams. **Application Advanced Engineer, Leather Pattern Design** ##### **Responsibilities:** * Develop and validate **2D pattern designs** for leather and synthetic materials used in steering wheel trim, ensuring high-quality manufacturability. * Create digital patterns using specialized design software to support early project phases such as feasibility analysis and cost estimation. * Adhere to internal design and quality processes, ensuring patterns are developed **correctly the first time**. * Optimize **material usage**, especially leather, through efficient patterns that reduce waste and production costs. * Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and costing teams to ensure patterns meet aesthetic and manufacturing requirements. * Participate in **continuous improvement and standardization initiatives** to strengthen the pattern design process and operational efficiency. ##### **Requirements:** * Engineering or related degree (Design, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar). * Prior experience in **2D pattern design** for leather or flexible materials, preferably in the automotive industry. * Proficiency in **digital design software** (e.g., Lectra, CATIA, or similar CAD tools). * Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes related to **trimming or upholstery** of components. * Ability to interpret 3D models, design specifications, and aesthetic requirements. * Capability to work with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, manufacturing, and costing). * Focus on continuous improvement, material optimization, and technical problem-solving. * **Conversational English – B2 level** (ability to participate in technical meetings and review documentation).
