




The **Mold and Tooling Maintenance Supervisor** is responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising activities related to preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of molds, dies, and tooling used in production processes. Ensures the availability, reliability, and functionality of molds to meet production schedules, guaranteeing product quality and optimization of technical and human resources under their responsibility. ### **Main Responsibilities** * Coordinate and supervise technical personnel involved in mold and tooling maintenance. * Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for molds, dies, and tools. * Monitor mold conditions, ensuring proper cleaning, repair, and storage. * Control and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards during maintenance activities. * Review and approve technical reports, logs, and maintenance records. * Participate in the analysis of recurring failures and propose improvement actions or component redesigns. * Coordinate the availability of spare parts, consumables, and tools required for maintenance. * Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality departments to resolve technical issues and ensure process efficiency. * Train and develop technical staff in good maintenance practices and industrial safety. ### **Required Knowledge** * Technical knowledge of **injection molds**, **dies**, and **precision tooling**. * Performance indicators in the area (MTTR, MTBF, preventive maintenance compliance, among others). * Interpretation of blueprints, technical drawings, and dimensional tolerances. * Materials used in mold manufacturing and repair (steels, alloys, heat treatments). * Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and cooling systems. * Operation of equipment such as: Hot Runners, TCUs, chillers for plastic injection machines. * Industrial safety standards and 5S principles. ### **Competencies** * Operational leadership * Teamwork * Effective communication * Work planning * Personnel management ### **Effective CommunicationJob Requirements** * **Education:** Degree in Maintenance Engineering, Mechatronics, Tooling, Manufacturing, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in mold or tooling maintenance within the manufacturing industry (preferably automotive or plastic injection). * **Personnel management:** Experience supervising technical teams. * **Availability:** To work shifts or respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
