




Job Summary: The Substation Operator monitors wind turbines, operates the BOP, and performs tasks on high- and medium-voltage electrical systems to ensure continuous asset operation. A leading company in renewable energy solutions is seeking **a Substation Operator** to join our Operations and Maintenance team. The Substation Operator is a key member of the Operations and Maintenance team, responsible for executing core activities including wind turbine monitoring and BOP (Balance of Plant) operation related to project performance, as well as carrying out necessary tasks on high- and medium-voltage electrical systems. This role is critical to ensuring continuous and uninterrupted operation of the company’s assets and provides technical support for daily activities outlined in the Operations and Maintenance Plan. **Responsibilities:** * Supervise and control the operation of the wind farm’s substation. * Conduct periodic inspections of substation equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation. * Coordinate and execute electrical switching operations in accordance with established and applicable safety protocols, including the LOTO procedure. * Record and document maintenance activities and findings identified during inspections. * Strictly comply with all HSE safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times, including submitting preventive and corrective maintenance requests for equipment access. * Identify, communicate, and mitigate potential risks by implementing preventive measures. * Continuously monitor and report substation performance indicators and alarms, such as wind speed, generation forecast, operational status, faults, and alarms. * Timely diagnose and address technical issues and anomalies. * Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and switching activities. * Interface with CENACE to request permits and licenses. * Manage on-site spare parts inventory. **Requirements:** * Valid certification from CENACE’s Regulatory Manual for Operational Coordination. * Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. * Prior experience in Electrical Substation Operations and Maintenance (minimum 1 year). * Availability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies. **Technical Knowledge:** * Familiarity with CENACE’s Regulatory Manual for Operational Coordination. * Knowledge of wind energy systems and associated equipment. * Understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures. **Skills:** * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Organizational and teamwork skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. **We Offer:** * Gross salary of $25,000 to $30,000 (based on experience) * Statutory benefits **Schedule:** * Flexible availability (rotating shifts)
