Contribution to continuous improvement and operational excellence **MECHATRONICS ENGINEER** **Position Objective:** Design, implement, and optimize technology-based solutions leveraging automation, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence to improve the operational efficiency of looms and production machinery, reducing unplanned downtime, quality defects, and waste, thereby supporting the company’s Continuous Improvement and operational excellence strategy. **Key Responsibilities:** · Develop and implement intelligent monitoring systems for early fault detection in looms and production machinery. · Analyze production data to identify patterns of downtime, defects, and quality variations. · Integrate AI tools for predictive maintenance. · Design improvements to electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control systems. · Reduce idle time through automation and technical process redesign. · Participate in Continuous Improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, or others). · Coordinate pilot testing of new technologies applied to production. · Generate performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, % machine efficiency, defect rate). · Document technical improvements and standardize processes. · Train technical staff on newly implemented technologies. · Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations. · Evaluate technical feasibility and return on investment for technology projects. **Performance Indicators (KPIs):** · Percentage reduction in unplanned downtime. · Decrease in defect rate attributable to technical failures. · Increase in machinery efficiency (OEE). · Average time required to diagnose faults. · Cost savings generated by implemented technological improvements. · Number of innovation projects implemented per year. **Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Specialization in Automation, AI, or Industry 4.0 is desirable. 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, industrial machinery automation, or data analytics applied to production processes. Experience in the textile industry or continuous manufacturing is desirable. · PLCs and industrial control systems. · Industrial sensors and SCADA systems. · Programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar). · Predictive maintenance. · Statistical data analysis. · Artificial Intelligence applied to industrial processes. · Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement. · Interpretation of electrical and electronic diagrams.
