Cross-Border Logistics Agent - Afternoon and Night Shifts

Job Summary: End-to-end coordination of international shipments and logistics management, including carriers, customs, customers, and incident resolution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Comprehensive management of international shipments (import and export) 2. Coordination of carriers, customs brokers, and customers 3. Resolution of operational issues and updating of logistics systems 1. International Shipment Coordination Plan and coordinate import and export cargo movements. Manage FTL and LTL shipments between Mexico and the United States. Coordinate pickups, transfers, border crossings, and final deliveries. 2. Carrier Management Identify and assign available carriers. Negotiate rates and capacity. Monitor performance and adherence to transit time requirements. 3. Shipment Tracking and Monitoring Provide daily tracking updates for in-transit cargo. Update status in TMS or logistics platforms, SYL, ETC. Resolve transportation-related incidents (delays, inspections, route changes). 4. Coordination with Customs Brokers Verify documentation required for customs clearance. Coordinate border crossing appointments. Ensure compliance with foreign trade regulations. 5. Customer Communication Keep customers informed about shipment status. Address requests, itinerary changes, or urgent matters. Send operational reports and status updates. 6. Documentation Management Validate documents such as: BOL (Bill of Lading) Commercial invoices Packing lists Pedimentos DODA Maintain accurate records in the system. 7. Operational Problem Resolution Handle situations including: Border delays Documentation issues Capacity shortages Last-minute customer changes 8. Logistics System Updates Create and update shipments in TMS platforms (proficiency across multiple platforms is essential; ability to dynamically manage email, WhatsApp, platforms, and systems simultaneously).
