DDoS attack mitigation and defensive cybersecurity management. **Server Administrator SysAdmin (Linux / Red Hat Specialist)** **Job Objective:** Lead the technical governance, maintenance, and security of our physical and virtual infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, service availability, and implementation of operational best practices. We seek a candidate with deep-rooted Linux expertise, capable of understanding business needs, managing costs, and translating complex technical issues into clear solutions for our customers. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Profitability Management and FinOps:** License administration, infrastructure cost control, and profitability analysis per node/service. * **Customer Support (Advanced Level):** Direct technical engagement with customers. * **Infrastructure and Virtualization Administration:** \* Technical governance and maintenance of physical nodes. * Management and deployment of virtual machines (VMs). * Expert administration of KVM hypervisors, including template standardization and strategic load balancing across nodes. * Validation of *bridge*-type networks and environment isolation. * **Security Management and Prevention:** * Perform server *hardening*, enforce mandatory SSH keys, configure baseline firewall rules and Fail2ban (or equivalents). * Proactive and reactive DDoS attack mitigation at the server level, blocking malicious IPs, and analyzing brute-force attacks. * Rapid isolation of malware-compromised virtual machines. * **Monitoring and Capacity Planning:** * 24/7 centralized monitoring with alert configuration for CPU, RAM, IO, disk, and SMART status. * Monthly consumption analysis, detection of over-allocation, and growth projections to prevent critical storage saturation. * **Critical Incident Response:** * Immediate response and resolution of node outages, RAID array failures (reconstruction), *kernel panics*, and filesystem corruption. * **Backup Management:** * Periodic review of *backups*, validation of restorations, and monitoring of contingency storage. **Candidate Requirements:** * Solid experience (Senior/Lead level) administering enterprise Linux distributions, particularly within the Red Hat ecosystem (RHEL, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux). * Demonstrable expertise in virtualization technologies, specifically KVM. * In-depth knowledge of defensive cybersecurity for Linux servers (DDoS mitigation, firewall management, access restrictions). * Hands-on hardware experience at the *bare\-metal* level (disk management, RAID). * *Desirable:* Interest or experience implementing Artificial Intelligence for system optimization, task automation, and operational cost improvement. **Salary Range** \- Minimum: $35,000 MXN gross/month (Ideal for a technically proficient candidate transitioning into their first leadership role). \- Maximum: $50,000 \- $55,000 MXN gross/month (For a highly experienced candidate skilled in mitigating complex attacks, optimizing infrastructure without High Availability (HA) clusters, and proposing advanced operational strategies).
