Job Summary: A professional with knowledge in machinery maintenance, metrology, and blueprint interpretation, responsible for operating and controlling machines, inspecting parts, and applying quality procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operation and control of specialized machinery 2. Inspection of parts and application of quality procedures 3. Preventive and corrective maintenance of machines **Knowledge in:** * Maintenance and operation of machines. * Working with measuring instruments and calibrators. * Measuring instruments and knowledge of metrology. * Blueprint interpretation. **Activities:** * Select appropriate tools and materials in the yard. * Receive cutting programs from the supervisor. * Square materials to be cut. * Monitor machines during operation by listening and observing to detect problems or irregularities. * Start up the machine and, if operation is incomplete, assist in completing it. * Clean, lubricate, and perform maintenance on the machine as needed. * Inspect workpieces to identify defects and measure them to determine the accuracy of the machines on which they were machined, using measuring instruments. * Replace worn machine accessories using hand tools. * Apply quality procedures, occupational health and safety measures, and environmental protection measures.
