





At Prida, we are currently seeking a: **Customs/Tariff Classifier** **Job Description:** Key Responsibilities: * Determine the correct tariff classification for goods (imports and exports) in accordance with the General Import and Export Tax Law (LIGIE), the Harmonized System, and NICO. * Analyze technical descriptions (merchandise classification) to justify tariff classifications. * Identify, assess, and apply Non-Tariff Regulations and Restrictions (RRNA), Official Mexican Standards (NOMs), permits, and applicable duties. * Provide technical advice and support to internal and external clients on tariff classification and customs regulatory matters. * Maintain and update the database of tariff classifications. * Review customs declarations (pedimentos) and assist during customs inspections to ensure proper compliance. Essential Requirements: * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in International Trade, International Business, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year as a Customs/Tariff Classifier. * **Knowledge of:** * General Import and Export Tax Law (LIGIE) and its complementary rules. * Customs Law, Foreign Trade Law, and their respective regulations. * General Rules of Foreign Trade and their annexes. * Merchandise classification (merceología), NICO, and customs systems.
