Ensures testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to meet product specifications and established quality standards. **Duties** ---------- **Duties \- cont'd** -------------------- * Receives work orders from the supervisor or designated representative. * Uses the work order and a visual-work-method guide to perform unit assembly, facilitating the process. * Performs assemblies and subassemblies to form the final product, using hand tools such as portable drills, saws, etc. 4\. Adapts prefabricated units and/or parts and accessories to accommodate both assemblies and/or a finished product. Adapts parts via drilling and tapping, using hand tools such as portable drills, saws, etc. 5\. Uses manual power tools and other equipment such as screwdrivers, nut runners, wrenches, etc. Checks hydraulic mechanisms, generally verifying correct and appropriate connections. 6\. Conducts operations with caution to avoid damaging painted or polished surfaces. Assists and trains other assemblers. 7\. Inspects own assemblies to ensure production complies with parameters established for each unit. 8\. Maintains a clean and organized work area. 9\. Complies with quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable regulations. 10\. Upon completing an operation, must finalize the process by scanning it. 11\. Cleaning and labeling of machines. 12\. Packaging of the unit according to its destination. **Education Degree** -------------------- * High School Diploma or GED * Associate's Degree **Required Experience** ----------------------- * One (1) year of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly. Experience in plumbing, maintenance, mechanical work, wiring, troubleshooting, or technical writing is desirable. * Proficiency in interpreting blueprints. * Knowledge of soldering application (tin) is desirable. * One (1) year of experience using required measuring devices and inspecting one’s own work to ensure quality production in accordance with requirements and specifications. Basic PC skills. **Preferred Experience** ------------------------ **Skills** ---------- * Team-oriented work environment. * High standards for comparing a specific part against a work instruction or engineering drawing. * Excellent self-organization to complete all daily work orders. * Manual dexterity. * Creativity to generate innovative ideas.
